Exploring Life, Truth, and the pursuit of Destiny
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will. -Romans 12:2
theEXCHANGE is a community of seekers, curious ones, and creatives pursuing higher truth as defined by God's Word. We engage in deep and meaningful conversations to process these truths and spur one another on to discover and walk out our unique design and calling.
theEXCHANGE is not a church but is not anti-church. Jesus Christ is our True North and we are part of the worldwide body of believers. The Crew, our core team, are Christ-followers dedicated to providing a safe place for those who have questions and who may not be comfortable in a traditional church setting. The Crew fosters conversations that invite participation by all attendees, no matter where they are in their spiritual journey. We recognize that people come from different backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures, and as such we are committed to promoting truth in love while celebrating diversity within a culture of kindness. We invite open conversation that is respectful regardless of whether or not everyone agrees.
theEXCHANGE meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 7pm. The recent pandemic has made it difficult to meet in person, however, we are working to create ways to safely gather. Please check the schedule for location updates as they become available.

There is one true God. He is Father, Son, and Spirit—three distinct persons united in one—the manifestation of perfect relationship. He created all of heaven and earth and created all mankind, male and female, in His image and likeness.
The Bible, though written by human hands, was authored by the Holy Spirit and is the inspired word of God. It contains the revelation of God's nature and His will for humanity. When interpreted correctly, the Bible teaches us how to live according to God's will and walk out our unique identity and purpose. We look to the Bible as the authority in what we believe and how we conduct our lives.
God is a good Father who desires an authentic relationship with His sons and daughters. Each of us have a choice (free will) to choose whether or not we want a relationship with Him. The first humans, Adam and Eve, turned their back on God. They listened to Satan’s seductive whispers which led them to doubt what they knew to be true; doubt the goodness of their Papa. Instead of leaning into His love, they chose to separate themselves from God and take charge of their own lives. This led to the manifestation of sin, sickness, and death upon the earth and its inhabitants. It’s a story that started in a Garden at the beginning of time and continues on today. Throughout the generations, we have experienced the result of Adam and Eve’s decision (referred to as “the fall”) and the consequences of the choices of every human being since, including our own. In the desire to control our own lives, we’ve discovered that our lives have become out of control.
But God offers a solution.
God loves us so much that He created a way to restore our perfect Father/child relationship. He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to take the weight of every bad decision, every wrong choice ever made or that ever will be made. Jesus was born of a virgin—God made flesh. As a man, Jesus was brutally beaten and punished for the sins of the world. He felt shame, guilt, hate; the ugliness of murder, rape, cancer, mental illness, disfiguation, abuse, and every form of suffering. He experienced, as a human being, every sin, sickness, disease, and sorrow of all time at the same time. And He did this for us—with each of our names on His lips. He didn’t wait till we turned to Him, acknowledged Him, or recognized what He did—He died for us while we were in the midst of our craziness.
They buried His broken, scarred body and three days later, He rose from the dead proving that we too can rise from the dead lives we’ve created for ourselves—His resurrection is our resurrection too if we want it to be. When we choose to enact a Divine exchange, turn from our old ways and choose Jesus to be the center of our lives, He restores us to right relationship. We return to the Family of God with our Papa running out to meet us with open arms and not a hint of condemnation. The power of the Holy Spirit, our Helper, then makes His home inside us to comfort, guide, and empower us to walk out our purpose and destiny. We experience true and lasting peace, love, hope, joy, and freedom that can only be found through Jesus. Our lives are increasingly transformed as we grow and mature in our relationship with God. We express His nature to the world around us; we are loving, forgiving, generous, kind, creative, wise and discerning.
When we choose Jesus, He rescues us from darkness and gives us eternal life with Him in heaven. It’s a choice between light and dark, life and death, God, or the enemy of our souls. One leads to eternal life in heaven, the other an eternity in hell—by our own choice. This is what it means when Christians say they are “saved.”
Jesus is the savior of the world.
