About

Mission

Advance the Kingdom of God and His righteousness through creative expression.

"But you are a chosen people, set aside to be a royal order of priests, a holy nation, God’s own; so that you may proclaim the wondrous acts of the One who called you out of inky darkness into shimmering light."  -1 Peter 2:9 (VOICE)

Vision

We envision a worldwide community of creatives walking in the authority of their unique identity in Christ, advancing

His Kingdom through their creative expression and the power of the Holy Spirit to see lives transformed by the Truth, Power, and Love of Jesus Christ.

"For we are the product of His hand, heaven’s poetry etched on lives, created in the Anointed, Jesus, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago." -Eph 2:10 (VOICE)

Kingdom Creativity International (KCI), a nonprofit religious organization, seeks to develop Christian creatives to be change agents for God; walking in the authority of their identity in Christ; using their unique creative expressions to reach in and out of the church with God-honoring works, creative ideas and innovations that influence, transform and impact culture with the Truth, Love, and Power of Jesus Christ.

The PROBLEM: In early history, the church played a pivotal role in affecting society and impacting culture through the arts. Over the years, however, fear and wrong teaching led to what we now see in the contemporary church--a diminished role of creativity and a devaluing of the creative individual to use their creativity to affect change and reach people for Christ. KCI recognizes that this is not only short-sighted but unbiblical. God, Himself is Master Creator. He created everything and created us in His image and likeness to create with Him and for Him. Since the Church abandoned its leading role in cultural creativity, we’ve seen a consistent moral decline.

The SOLUTION: Led by pastor/leaders Brae and Jill Wyckoff, KCI, and our sister organization, Kingdom Writers Association (KWA) takes an apostolic approach to vocational discipleship--training creatives to embrace their God-given assignments and calling. We provide biblical foundations within a healthy interdependent community where participants are encouraged, equipped, and empowered to use their creative gifts and anointing to create works that are righteous. Historically, we know that creativity reaches across cultural barriers and has the power to change lives; bring hope, wholeness, transformation, and restoration. KCI promotes that all people are creative and that creative expression is not limited to the traditional arts but includes innovation, education, invention, solutions, business, technology, etc. As such, Kingdom-minded creatives have the opportunity to affect all areas of culture, plant seeds of hope, and reach more people for Christ.

Brae and JIll are first generation born-again Christians. Brae, an atheist, and Jill, a Christian Scientist, discovered Jesus in the late 90’s and have been on a steady course of discovery, adventure, and fun ever since. They have been happily married for over 28 years, have 3 grown children and 7 beautiful grandchildren.

In January 2009, they started attending Awakening International Training and Reformation Center in Carlsbad CA. Under the mentorship of Pastors Craig and Karlet Muster, they began serving in various capacities and entered into the church leadership track which included the School of Activation, ministry school. From there, they advanced within Awakening to become coordinators and instructors of Awakening’s Academy of Influence, commissioned Elders, ordained Pastors, and board members. In 2016, the Holy Spirit led Brae to create Kingdom Writers Association, a regional writing community to encourage and equip Christian writers of all levels.

Brae and Jill are passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and have committed their lives to serve God and encourage, equip, and empower His children. They have a passion to see people walking out the fullness of their identity in Christ, actively pursuing and carrying out their God-given assignments.  Everything starts with knowing Jesus and understanding who you are as a son or daughter of God. Brae and Jill have a mandate to pursue the great commission. (Matt 28:19-20)--to do great exploits (Daniel 11:32)--and to advance His Kingdom (Matt 6:10). To this end, Brae and Jill use creative expression to reach people for Christ and equip them to move in Truth, Love, and Power. God has given Brae and Jill a Zechariah 1:21 calling to raise up the craftsman (the creatives) to terrify the enemy, bring restoration, hope, healing, and to prepare the Kingdom for the King.

To date, Brae has fifteen published works (fiction and nonfiction). Jill's work includes three books (creative nonfiction and nonfiction), a stage play, numerous spoken word poems, and blogs. Though they both minister through creativity, Brae’s focus is to inspire and equip Christians in the area of writing as a way to influence culture and affect the generations. Jill does that as well but also ministers through prophetic arts (performing, painting, poetry, etc.) for the purpose of evangelism, awakening, and holistic healing. They both offer private coaching to help creatives achieve their goals, both personally and professionally.

Brae and Jill are engaging, humorous, and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. As speakers, leaders, pastors, and teachers, they are both compelling and captivating. Their passion for the Word and their craft, together with the anointing of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, have resulted in tremendous fruit (salvations, healings, breakthroughs) both locally and globally. They disciple leaders who have gone on to publish works, create artistic ministries, and advance the Kingdom creatively within their own spheres of influence and in the marketplace.

Angela Hughes
Leadership Director

Angela R. Hughes is our KCI/KWA Leadership Director. She loves to coach and inspire, while encouraging and supporting KWA Chapter Leaders and KCI Collective Leaders.

Angela is an artist historical fantasy and romance author based in Waco, Texas. Her ambition is to write stories that grip and provoke readers, alluring them into her fascinating world of myth and legend.

She believes in the power of dynamic, inspired storytelling. She has always been intrigued by folklore and legend, and desired to create her own. Particularly drawn to Arthurian legend and its ancient roots in the history of the Cymraeg (Welsh) people, she has extensively studied Arthurian legend and Celtic mythology.

Much of her fascination with the Celtic world began during her time living in Ireland, where she fell in love with the history and landscapes of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and England.

In addition to writing, Angela spends her time researching ancient histories and languages—which led her to learn to speak the Welsh language. She also enjoys painting, inspiring others, being with her family, chatting with fellow fantasy nerds over coffee, baking, visiting wineries, and traveling.

The Once and Future Chronicles, Book One: Elanor and the Song of the Bard is her first published novel. She is currently working on sequels including Book Two: Merlin and the Magic of Time, and Book Three: Arthur and the Golden Dragon.
